Why do you need estate planning?

Don't Leave a Mess.

Will or Trust or Probate? What do you really need to keep your family out of court and out of conflict when something happens to you? We'll look at your family dynamics, explain probate—the state’s plan if you fail to do your own planning. If you choose to move forward with a plan we will help you create a plan that is customized for you and within your budget to achieve your desired outcomes for yourself and the people you love.

Protect Who (and What) Matters.

Don’t fail your loved ones. Even if you've created a plan already, it may not work when your family needs it. Learn what happens  when clients are not well-counseled, when your assets are not owned in the right way, and plans are not updated when required to meet your goals. Your family deserves more.

Get Financial Peace of Mind.

It doesn’t matter how much money you have. Estate planning is simply facing the end and attending to the inevitable, to accomplish the best possible legal and financial choices throughout life and after you pass. Our heart-centered counseling process ensures you make the right choices for yourself and the people you love.

About Virginia Joehl

I’m here to help your family stay out of court and conflict in the event of your death or disability. Welcome.

I'm Virginia Joehl. I’m currently in training to become a Personal Family Lawyer®, which will help me serve you with a counseling methodology for making estate planning decisions, ensuring you’ll have a plan that works when your family needs it. After all, if your plan doesn’t work, what’s the point of planning?

Together, we’ll look at the dynamics of your situation, inventory your assets (and even possibly help you see you have more than you think you do), and counsel you to choose the right plan for you and the people you love. All of our plans are tailored to your unique circumstances and your budget.

By planning for life and death in this way and getting a clear understanding of your legal and financial reality, you’ll make choices with a clarity that may have eluded you until now. This is what we call Life & Legacy Planning®.

We call it Life & Legacy Planning® because we don’t just help you choose between a will or trust (though we do that), but we empower you to take control of your life, clarify your aspirations, and leave a lasting impact that aligns with your values and goals.

Most importantly, you will have the assurance that your loved ones won’t be left with a mess and that they will be able to make aligned decisions for you when needed.

I’m here to be your trusted advisor, helping you make the very best personal, financial, and legal decisions for your family throughout your lifetime. I will be there for your loved ones when you can’t be, supporting the people you love during what could be one of the most impactful moments in their lives.

As your future Personal Family Lawyer, I’d love to begin helping you plan for the people you love and everything else you care about today.

I look forward to meeting you!

What are Virginia’s Clients Saying?

Mrs. Joehl was a god send when it came to my case. My case was partially difficult considering I live out of state, and yet she constantly remained in touch. She maintained clear communication, explaining the next steps. Mrs. Joehl honestly restored my faith in the justice system. She represented me extremely well and was the only attorney who inspired confidence in me for the legal process. She worked with me, fought hard, and never judged me or the situation. I will forever be grateful for Mrs. Joehl and everything she did for my daughter and I.

April 2025

Where do I begin? Ms. Joehl was my protector. In a time where I was being physically, mentally, and spiritually harmed, Ms. Joehl was able to recognize and meet the challenges of my life head on, fearlessly! Her years of knowledge, awareness, and deep compassion were shown inside and outside of the court room. Not only is she now a lawyer that I can confidently say has met and superseded every need for me as her client, but she is now a life long friend that I will always be grateful to. Best lawyer, best service, and outstanding human being!

Jay, December 2024

Virginia is a consummate professional who understands her clients' needs, their children’s interests and the psychology of all the stakeholders. Her understanding of the legal system is uncanny and her connections in the county serve her and her clients’ needs. She is a compassionate ally in counsel and a fierce warrior in the courtroom. She speaks directly to the issues and is fair. Your life will be better for having worked with her. She is worth every penny.
